Currently, “Hey Portal” is only available in English (US/Canada), and will be disabled if you select any language other than English (US/Canada) as your preferred language on your Portal. You can still make calls on your Portal using the touch screen, and we’re hard at work to add “Hey Portal” functionality in additional languages. Additionally, “Hey Portal” is currently not available if you have only linked your WhatsApp account to your Portal (and not your Facebook account).
Currently, you can choose from English (US/Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and United Kingdom versions available), French, German, Italian or Spanish as your preferred language on your Portal. To choose a language, simply connect your Portal to a wireless network to update your software, then select your language.
Content on your Portal is only available in the language(s) supported by the applicable content partner - this means not everything is supported in both English and your preferred language.
